The Pyramid Consulting has joined the Face the Fight Coalition to advance veteran suicide prevention. This collaboration highlights the urgent need to address mental health issues among veterans, who often face unique challenges that can lead to suicidal thoughts. It is heartening to see organizations coming together to provide support and resources. In Psalm 34:18 (KJV) it says, “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” This promise of God’s nearness to the brokenhearted offers solace and reassurance. In Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV), Jesus invites us, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” This passage reminds us that Jesus offers rest and peace, even in the midst of grief and struggle. By supporting initiatives like the Face the Fight Coalition and offering a listening ear, we can embody the love and care that Christ calls us to demonstrate. Let us pray for those struggling with mental health challenges and for the success of these efforts in preventing suicide among veterans.
