Racing Toward Hope: Daniel Dye’s Mission Beyond the Finish Line

Thrilling NASCAR event at Mexico City with colorful race cars and dynamic action on the track.

I am so happy to see NASCAR driver Daniel Dye’s efforts off the track to prevent suicide are making a huge impact. While Daniel is known for his achievements behind the wheel, it’s his “Race to Stop Suicide” campaign that stands out for us—a movement born from personal tragedy after he lost his cousin to suicide. Daniel and his family have transformed their grief into a mission, using their platform to bring mental health awareness to the forefront, especially during Mental Health Awareness Month. Daniel’s story is a powerful reminder of the hope we can offer each other in the darkest times. Scripture doesn’t shy away from pain or loss. Jesus himself promised, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Daniel’s advocacy embodies this invitation—creating spaces where people can bring their pain into the light and find rest, support, and community. Let’s keep the conversation going, not just for a month but for a lifetime. If you’re hurting or know someone who is, reach out. There is hope, and you are not alone. Daniel’s race may start on the track, but the finish line is a world where every life is valued and every story matters.
